Swoon is an exhibition of new paintings and drawings by Melbourne-based artist Kirrily Hammond. Drawing on recent travel experiences, Hammond has created works inspired by the cloudy landscapes of Gippsland, Mt Buller and Japan. Hammond uses the expressive nature of light and space to create hauntingly beautiful works that invite intense contemplation in their stillness and silence.
Following recent successful solo exhibitions in Sydney and Canberra, this will be her first Melbourne solo exhibition. A catalogue will be available, with essay by freelance writer and musician, Henry F. Skerritt.
