The role of fabric varies from culture to culture, generation to generation, person to person. It may contain secrets woven into the design keeping beliefs and histories alive, or the ‘shroud’ wrapping the body of Jesus, both concealing and revealing.

The Translation of fabric into paint is the
re-interpreting of these designs, changing both the energy and meaning of its’ origins into something more personal to me, the artist. These are explained by both the image and its titles.
