Kris
Coad Melbourne based ceramicist specialises in fine translucent porcelain and bone china. Works concentrate on illuminated ceramics pieces inspired by the mandorla symbol an almond shaped symbol, found both in Christian and Buddhist faiths. Her technique investigates the lithophane, a relatively rare technique using thin translucent panels of porcelaine in which an image or pattern is moulded in a low relief on one side. She also has a range of fine ceramics.
